The Summerhouse Meeting Room at The Afton Hotel is the perfect venue for any group of up to 50 people to meet. As well as being easily accessible, having a central location opposite the Pier in Eastbourne, it has the versatility to suit a wide variety of functions & events. Talks, lectures or less formal group gatherings as well as small social events can all be easily accommodated in this lovely room. The Summerhouse offers flexible lighting for a varied ambience, CD player, A-Board, large drop down screen and a projector with link for a laptop. With it’s own separate entrance, its own serving hatch that has easy access to refreshment facilities and its own in-room toilets, the Summerhouse can offer everything that might be needed for a bespoke, private and successful meeting, conference or event.

Dog, Walker & Cyclist Friendly Breaks in Eastbourne.

The Afton Hotel has a lot to offer our more active guests. We’re easy to get to and also on the doorstep of some fabulous countryside. With its temperate climate, walks can be enjoyed most of the year in the Eastbourne area. The South Downs Way is now a National Park and offers miles of stunning scenery, including the famous Beachy Head Cliff. There is also a wealth of beautiful countryside close by, such as the Seven Sisters Country Park and the Cuckmere Valley.

The Afton Hotel is friendly and welcoming and this means to our four legged guests as well! We don’t make an extra charge for dogs, but we expect that their owners are responsible and consider the hotel and its other guests.

We’re also mindful of the fact that cyclists can’t relax until their bikes are safely locked up overnight and we’re very happy to provide this facility.
